About

Foreign Monkeys were formed back in late 2005 and won the Icelandic Music Experiments in March 2006. That gave Foreign Monkeys nationwide recognition.

Foreign Monkeys are known for electric-filthy-sounding and fuzzy Rock n‘Roll in faithful contrast with the strong winds and unpredictable weather of their home, Westman Islands, located south of Iceland.

Foreign Monkeys have released two albums. The first, “π” (Pi) in April 2009 and “RETURN” almost exactly 10 years later up to date.

In the summer of 2020, the band started working on their third album in Álsey, one of the small Islands in the Westman Islands archipelago. The project was well documented in the official video of “Those That Suffer”, released in January 2022.

The band has released five singles since January 2022, and are planning to release five more in 2023. Full album will be released in late 2023.

All singles have been well received in radio and on streaming platforms, three of them hitting the top spot on X977 billboard.
